We, God's children are meant to make beautiful music at every phase of life. The music we are called to make is deep in our hearts, though it may be inaudible initially, it must become louder and make an impact. The music God has called us to produce brings joy and smiles to men.  It's meant to change lives. it's the essence of our being. The music we are called to make is an everlasting music. Even when we transition to eternal glory, are music should live on and influence nations for generations to come. But many of us aren't producing music that is quality. No one can hear it, not even you. Why is this?

Ways music is unheard:

Parents holding back from children

Spouse hiding from home of their bone

Children who can't look beyond parents short coming

Sibling rivalry

Workers doing the minimum.

Church members holding back their commitment

Christians shining to get the applause of men, but not God.

Things that keep us unheard:

  • sin numbers 3:4
  • Shyness - Matthew 5:13; tutus 2:7;Philippians 4:5
  • Wrong information
  • Bad attitude
  • Laziness
  • Lack of understanding
  • Lack of relationships

Where must the music come from? How do we get the music of our lives started?

Every project

Challenging situations

Marriage

Children

Vision

Every interaction, phone call, etc. When you do things in a way that gives God glory, you make music that an change the world!

Make effort to ensure music is heard.  Ask yourself, what kind of music are you making? Is it solo or harmonious? Is it audible by all or  only for you? Are you enjoying your own music? Are you reproducing it or are you just a one hit wonder?

Case study:

Consider Saul. He had the wrong heart, which was proven by his son and disobedience , wrong timing and wrong priorities. In addition he was people driven.  He got grace and anointed meant to advance him and he still chose to produce the wrong music.

David, on the other hand, created very quality music. Let's study him. 1 Samuel 17:26 tells us that even when called into Saul's presence to work, he was still tending his fathers sheep.  He could do more than one thing as you are called to do more than one thing.  He knew who he was. He knew he was circumcised and set apart and consciousness of his identity gave him the courage he needed to condemn the Philistine and bring him to demise.  Friends, I implore you, know who you are in Christ. Live consciously of the grace you carry and use it for God's glory. He was reward conscious. Know that God sees all you do and he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. As you execute the assignments that God has entrusted to you, live consciously of your reward in Him and do your work well.  Finally, like David, be a worshipper. Abide in God's presence. Pray continuously. Repent of your sins. Worship your God with all of your heart and soul.

God is a God of pattern.  He is not only Gods son. He is the son of man meaning what He can do, we can do. Paul understood this. He said follow me as I follow Christ.

What manner of man was He?

This is the beginning of our series highlighting the 7 components of a man's destiny. The goal of this series is to help us to get into Divine alignment with what God is doing on the earth.

"Like a bird that wanders from its nest, is a man who wanders from his place."

Proverbs 27:8

Once a man is out of place, everything is out of order for him. Let’s consider Genesis 45:10-11:

"You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine.”’

Relocate! Find yourself in Goshen. Don’t become emotional when it comes to making decisions that will directly impact your destiny. Sometimes, the place God has for you might not look as you think it should, but walk in it. Accept it as yours and soon you will see it becoming exactly what God had in store for you all along.

Many times we think we are in charge of our lives. We want God to follow along and make what we choose to do fit into His plan. That’s not how it works. We need to trust God to take complete control. To be completely aligned with God, we need to be flexible enough to move with the Holy Spirit.

96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

If Joseph defined himself by his past or present experience, he would have called himself a prisoner or a failure. He may have even called himself a leader or prime minister. But once he aligned himself with God’s will, we learn his true identity and place in life- He was the preserver of his generation. He secured the heritage of the Israelites. God wants you to define yourself and find yourself in His will for your life.

41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” -Luke 19:41-45

A season came to the land of the Israel. The season was proposed to bring peace to Israel. It was supposed to bring the visitation of God. But the people couldn't discern it and as a result, they missed it. The Bible says the enemy came very soon after missing the season and they were left exposed. I encourage you to open your heart to receive the word God has for you. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us there's a season attached to everything that happens on the earth. Seasons allow certain things to stand out.

Friends our assignments on the earth are time contained. You don't believe it? Consider Esther:

14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Now Let's consider Jesus. Himself:

We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. -John 9:4

- Understand that that you miracle on the earth is also time sensitive. Consider Abraham in 18:14

- Our reward is also time sensitive. 2 Kings 5:26-27 tells the story of Elsiha who took a reward at a time that wasn't appropriate. It led him to leprocy. Don';'t mis your reward. Don't lode your reward. Understand the seasons.

- Our life opportunities are attached to time and seasons. Consider Ecclesiastes 9:11; 8:9-6, Psalm 75:2, TLB

The person who knows how to choose the right time will make sound judgment and take chances in life. Such a person is very wise. But he who refuses to understand time or season is subject to death...not just any death..but death in destiny and assignment in addition to that of the physical. The lack of understanding or discernment of time leads us to misbehave or mist step.  As a result we waste time and eventually run out of it.

Now because you make such a mistake, not all hope is lost. Have a mindset that says, "I'm wasting time". This shows that you're cognizant of  how you are investing time. Sating Ive wasted time means you're still totally focused on the past.

What must drive your timing:

- Alert to your inner clock; Ecclesiastes 3:11; studying the "books" or God's word will help you understand the signs of the time

- Experiences: Jeremiah 29:10; Ezra 1:1; Daniel 9:1-2

- Divine Communication Luke 2:8-12 (Dreams, angelic communication, Holy Spirit, etc)

- Voice of you Shepard (Consider the story of Mordecai and Esther)

Days aren't the same to everyone. The difference in days are traceable to :

- The power that works for or against someone

- Prophecy or curses

As we round up, understand that human life experiences are largely determined by times and seasons. There are some things that will never happen unless it's time of life takes a turn. In other words, if God does not move the seasons, some things will never blossom or take effect. If you want to change your experiences, learn how to adjust to time. Time will always work for you in Jesus name.

Text: 1 Samuel 4:5-11; 1 Corinthians 15:13-16 amp

If you don't take control of your life, someone or something else will! Consider Reuben of the 12 tribes of Israel. This guy was the firstborn of Jacob. He had a major advantage over all of his brothers. But his lack of self control (lust) caused him to lose everything, inheriting only a curse. The curse he contracted was almost as terrible as the curse of Judas Iscariot himself!

Control is defined as having a strong grip; having gained possession of or having a grasp. Based on these definitions, do you have control over your life? Do you have a strong grip on life? What are you gaining possession of in life? If you're not doing any of these things - your life is out of your control. Promises and prophecies can come but it doesn't matter if you're not in control.

Psalm 115:16 reminds us that God gave us everything we need to be in control on the earth. The truth is there is a reality of spirits battling to gain control over your life.  The more you have to fight them, the more God has given you to have control over.  There are some battles your pastor can fight for you, but the one battle you must fight on your own is the battle of life.

There are many things you want to blame on people and systems but really it's a matter of you taking control. Here's what being in control does for you:

  • gives you order and structure. God does not operate where there is no order or structure.
  • Prevents lesser things from taking over your life (stew took over the life of Esau)
  • Prevents you from making wrong decisions and open yourself up to demonic attack.
  • You risk becoming a slave to systems and circumstances
  • You avoid running out of sufficiency of time and resources
  • You will carry authority among men, Angels and Demons

How do you control your life?

  • With the word of God. Ephesians 4:14-15
  • Use your mouth by speaking the truth of the word of God James 3
  • Be accountable to someone who can harness you.
  • Stop playing the blame game. Accept responsibility over your life.
  • Get rid of your complex. Whether it's inferiority or superiority complex, it's a mirage that keeps you from acknowledging the truth of your situation
  • Let the lion on the inside rise!

Rise up and take control over your life!

We have been blessed to have Rev. Ehinloju Davidson fellowshipping with us here at The Place. He has been sharing how to use our God given authority to make things happen on the earth in addition to dishing out prophetic words for deliverance and breakthrough. Our lives shall never be the same thanks to this vessel of God.

He explained something the other day that was so profound. Have you ever wondered why you couldn't move a mountain? The Bible clearly explains to us that our faith provides us with such authority, however time and time again we find ourselves faced with mountains of oppression, barrenness, hardship and the list goes on. The truth is our faith lives matter, and two things you must know about faith is that it specific and it confident. It is not rational to speak casually to a mountain. Mountains move for people who are bold in faith. Mountains move when you are able to give them clear, God-backed instructions. When you need a mountain to move, do you want it to do a little shimmy and shake or do you want it to rise and move completely out of your boundary and into a desert somewhere? Be specific and be confident in your God given authority!

Strategies for moving mountains:

Matthew 17:15-21

Why couldn't we move the mountain?

  1. Unbelief
  2. No living word
  3. Not specific

Be sure to back up any and everything you do with the life giving power of God's word. Stand firm on you faith in Him and in the Bible He has given us. Be as specific and as detail oriented and clear and transparent as the God we serve, especially when it comes to giving orders.

As a child of the Kingdom of God, you will inevitably face some major battles in life. The beauty of being a child of God is that you never have to fight alone. The devil will always want to devise a plan to keep you isolated or believing you don't have help. He will want you to come up with your own strategies for responding or feel so overwhelmed you don't fight at all. Don't ever fight battles alone when you can team up with others to fight. God has a redemptive plan for every loss that a born again man has ever experienced. Team up with the Holy Spirit to recover and defend what God has given us. Here are some do's and don'ts to help you along the way:

Do develop a desire to...

- Know, draw near, obey God's leading- Exodus 20:18-20; Exodus 3:1-4

- Always create an atmosphere suitable for the Holy Spirit. Place yourself under a covering that makes it possible to hear Him. Ensure your spouse makes it possible for you to hear God.

- Inquire of the Lord like Rebecca in Genesis 21-23 and David in 2 Samuel 5:19. Wait until He speaks. Learn from the likes of Saul in 1 Samuel 13:5-15.

Don't allow these common things to drown out the voice of God in your life:

- Human ntelligence

- Emotions

-Training

-Haste

-Environmental factors

All these things can fight against the leading of the Holy Spirit and lead you into error. The Holy Spirit knows what is ahead and can lead you farther, safer, faster with everlasting results.

Do you ever forget things. Have you ever thought you knew something but it turned it that you thought wrong? It's true that the human mind is beautiful and brilliant, but its even more true that the human mind is limited. Yet, naturally we want to depend on our minds alone total us to the next level in life. Our minds are too limited to lead us! God, our Father is always willing to lead and has given us the gift of His Spirit, who is limitless to take us places our minds could never travel.

"Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21).

The Holy Spirit is purposed to guide you, comfort you and give you the confidence you need to accomplish your destiny assignments in life and become everything God created you to become. The Holy Spirit is also evidence. True proof that you're a child of God is that you are never stranded, idle or confused about what to do next. A true child of God is led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14).

One of the ways the Holy Spirit guides us is by "checking" us. A restriction or check in your spirit man is one of the ways The Holy Spirit leads you. You may be about to make a major decision or engage in a particular activity when suddenly, something inside you causes you to pause and listen as you sense that you should no longer move forward with what your mind is telling you to do. It's further described in Acts 16. It's like a burst of irritation or an unrest. Don't ignore it!

Finally, the Spirit leads you through a few other avenues:

  1. The anointing on your spirit- 1 John 2:27 and John 6:6
  2. Pastoral leading- Mark 4: 5-36

Don't neglect the leading of the Holy Spirit. Recognize it and build that habit of waiting to be led by Him. b2ap3_thumbnail_KPC-LOGO.jpg

Key Texts: Ephesians 3:6; Philippians 1:1-6

According to Ephesians 3:6, we all have the same access and can partake of the same things in the kingdom. To partake denotes the following: fellowship, joint participation, intimacy, communion. So what are we partakers of?

We are partakers of :

- Christ: This includes partaking in His suffering for the sake of the Kingdom. (2 Corinthians 1:7; Philippians 3:10)

- Divine nature: holiness of Christ

- Inheritance of Christ

- His glory and heavenly calling

"We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end"

-Hebrews 3:14

  1. We partake in the holiness of Christ -Hebrew 12:9-10
  2. We partake of His peace- John 14:27. Peace is a force
  3. We partake in His wisdom- 1 Corinthians 1:24; 30. It's an abomination for a Christian to say they don't know what to do in a situation. Colossians 2:3,LB
  4. We partake in the power of God- Matthew 26:64; Mark 3:14-16, Luke 22:29-30; Matthew 10:5-8

In summary, Let us partake of Christ! Let us cultivate a habit of drinking from the river of the Spirit of God (John 4:13-14). Let's take our communion with Him seriously (John 5:53/58)
